Onyx Property Co. (“Onyx,” “we,” “us”) is a Michigan home buying company. This policy explains what information we collect through onyxpropertyco.net (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting a form, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you request an offer, send photos, or submit a referral, we collect what you enter, which may include:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Property details such as the address, property type, occupancy, condition, asking price, and your reason for selling
- Photos of the property that you upload
- If you submit a referral, the referred owner’s name and contact details. Please share another person’s information only with their permission.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. This may be collected using cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel if we have them turned on.
How we use your information
- To review your property and contact you about a possible purchase
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To process and follow up on referrals, including a referral fee if we close on a referred property
- To understand how the Site is used and measure our advertising
- To protect the Site and comply with legal obligations
Calls, texts, and email
When you submit a form, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message, or email about your property or referral. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to a text or tell us on a call to stop contacting you, and we will honor your request. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Site and our business, including with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Site. For example, FormSubmit delivers form submissions to our email, Netlify hosts the Site and stores uploaded photos, and Google Fonts delivers the typefaces.
- Analytics and advertising partners, such as Google and Meta, if we have those tools turned on.
- Others when required by law, or to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.
Cookies and tracking choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on and manage Meta ad settings in your Facebook account. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires, and then delete or anonymize it. Photos and form submissions you send us may be kept while we evaluate or complete a transaction.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or bank details through the Site.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Contact us at the email or phone number below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
